I'm at race 32/36 and I highly doubt I'll be winning another one in my rookie season, I got booted out of the Chase after the first round. I managed to qualify 4th in the night race and I basically dove my way into 2nd and then again to 1st in the first lap and blocked/bumped my way to a win, so it's definitely hard. I was only able to win one race and that was by basically nudging anyone who dared pass me at Bristol. The good parts of career mode is basically everything I've mentioned above and how difficult it is. There's a few things setting it back which I'll get to in The Bad. Day and night both look great, and the lighting on the cars is great too.Ĭareer mode is ALMOST amazing. The graphics are better than most give them credit for, I especially like the different times of day and how some tracks feel warmer in one race than another race (Kansas 1 vs. The AI races spectacularly, at times aggressive, at times passive, at times single file, at times three wide, I haven't seen anything they've done and said "that's stupid", yet.

But it's fun and feels like an accomplishment when you manage to wrestle your car to a good finish. I've only played on simulation, the handling is decent, even with a controller. I got the game this morning and have played it on and off (mostly on) for the last 12 hours or so.
